From our humble beginnings in a farmer's market to what we have achieved the last ten years, the struggle is real but the journey of building this coffee company has been fulfilling. The taste of success is sweet but even sweeter is this Anniversary Edition series, a gift from us to you. It has been a good 10 years and we hope to walk this journey for many years to come.

As one quarter part of our 10th Anniversary Edition coffee selections, the Heroes Series Gesha is a competition-grade coffees that we sourced directly with La Palma & El Tucan (LPET).

This crop is the result of impressive feats, battles proving strength and bravery, a true gem admired for its scoring achievements and noble cupping qualities. Making up 10% of La Palma & El Tucan farms production, this series scores above 90 points. Presented in 25kg boxes and where only 100 boxes are available per year worldwide, we are glad to have a box of this in our roastery this year.

Through Bio-Innovation processing method, LPET honour the main principles of organic farming. They captured and reproduced the native microorganism found in the farm's natural forest to create their own fermentation substrate. Then, they innoculate this substrate with perfectly ripened red Gesha cherries, leaving it in a claypot for 96 hours. During the induced fermentation, this microorganism produces organic acids, leaving distinct flavor profile before they undergo another processing method to separate the beans from the cherries. We chose the lot that have gone through the washed process in this case.

For the Heroes series, the Gesha varietals are micro-roasted to order and packed by hands in 100gm serving per cylinder and they come in whole bean only. Through this relationship we had with La Palma & El Tucan since our 6th Anniversary in 2019, we have been supplied with various astounding coffees, such as the Gesha, Sidra and the Neighbors & Crops series. We are happy that for our 10th Anniversary, we are again able to work with La Palma & El Tucan. Gesha Nanolot 66 is our first purchase of this experimental lot of the Heroes's Series program and we see this being one of the crowd favourite too. Tasting is believing!
