Milk Chocolate. Peanut Butter. Cherry

From a relatively new farm to us and taking over  one of our best selling Brazilian single origin (the Lagoa Estate), our Brazil  Sao Matheus e Conceicao is a classic cup and prime example of what Brazil has to offer from the Cerrado region. It has a beautiful touch of milk chocolate, a creamy peanut butter body, and cherry acidity to balance out the sugars. 

The Sao Matheus e Conceicao is all about traceability. Our supplier works hard to ensure we can trace the coffee. The farmer is José Carlos Grossi and his family's coffee growing lineage traces back well over a century when his grandfather migrated from Italy to Brazil in 1879. With that history in tow, it lead José Carlos Grossi to study Agronomy and cary on the tradition. 

This origin will also features heavily in both our medium-dark roast espresso blends of Batavia and Colonial beginning the second half of 2022. Securing slightly more than 200 bags greens of it this year, rest assure we won't run out of this that quickly and when what the palate needs is just a comforting cup of chocolates and more chocolates, Sao Matheus will not fail you.
