Every year, the Singapore Coffee Association (SCA) will host the Singapore National Coffee Championship where competition like the Barista's Championship, Brewer's Cup and Taster's Cup will be featured. As a company, Dutch Colony Coffee Co. have been active in participating in the SNCC; whether sending competitors in various competitions or volunteering as national judges!

In the last many years, we have achieved many sweet success in the competition - being Champion and #3 in the Cup's Tasters, being #4, #6 and #7 in the Brewer's Cup, countless time Top 6 spot in the Barista's Championship as well various other wins outside the SNCC arena (Champion Aeropress Nationals & #3 Asean Barista Championship). The competition journey is boundless and endless, where we continue to do our best, to showcase the bean we source, the people we have relationship with, to the quality we serve in the cup, and all the experiences in between. In the recently concluded SNCC 2023, we send in 05 of our team members competing in all 3 competitions hosted by SCA and it was a memorable experience. This year, we came in #3 in the Cup's Taster, #4 in the Barista's Championship and finally #6 in the Brewer's Cup!

This Competition Barista's Showcase - is our way of putting it all together to present you the same performance on stage, and to experience it in a much conducive environment off stage. This also allows our competitors to continue pouring out their passion and sharing their knowledge about the competition beans they used as well as the routine.

This showcase will feature our Academy Trainer, Khairullah Anuar with his Barista's Championship presentation and our Coffee Roaster, Ong Siew Hui with her Brewer's Cup presentation. Khairullah Anuar will be serving a 3 course beverage - a single Espresso, a 4oz White and closing off with a Signature Beverage while Ong Siew Hui will kick off with a mini Cup's Taster experience as a starter before brewing and serving you a 220ml filtered coffee. Each ticket purchase will only present One (01) showcase, so do choose the option between the Barista's Championship or the Brewer's Cup. At the current, all showcase will  be held in our Roastery & Academy, located at 127 Defu Lane 10 #02-03, on the 07th, 13th & 14th of October  2023, Friday & Saturday with various time slots to choose from.

The showcase experience will not be complete without the opportunity for you to experience brewing the same coffee at home and as such, every participants will also walk away with a 200gm bag of the same coffee + the surreal experience of being a 'coffee judge' for a day.
